Barrons Verbal / Kaplan's CR Workbook

Has anyone tried either of these workbooks? If so, what did you think about them?

I'm considering purchasing one of these books to practice the CR portion of the SAT.

From what I've read previously, it seems as if people think Kaplan's book is easier than the "real thing."

I couldn't find anything about the Barrons book though.

Well, thanks in advance.

I bought kaplan and, while I guess it is easier than the real thing, the explinations helped on questions that I got wrong. I mean really, the explinations are really helpful and put my CR above 700. Barron's book is a little harder than the real thing but good practice (plus it has writting in it too).

Kaplans is good. I agree with stix2400, it's a lot easier than the real thing (especially the sentence completions). There are a lot of exercises, but the downfall is there are only two practice tests.
I don't know about Barrons-but don't get discouraged if you don't do too well, their tests are a lot harder than the real thing.
