Barron's vs. Cliff's for AP Bio?

I'm thinking of buying either Cliff's or Barron's AP Bio review book, but can't decide.

I've heard that Barron's over-prepares you for the test, but was wondering whether it had certain other weaknesses as well. If each book has its own strengths and weaknesses, I might possibly go ahead and buy both of them.

Any ideas?

BTW, how accurate are Cliff's 5 Biology Practice Exams? Are there any better ones out there?

Thanks!

I mostly used Cliffs last year, I'm sure I used Barron's but I don't recall how good it was. Cliffs was great though! It's really detailed and explains (most) of the information very well. I felt that Cliffs practice exams were a lot harder than the real test though.

Cliff's is very good.

my friend self-studied and got a 5 and all she used was the cliffs :)

@lizthemon, did your friend study cliffs along with a textbook, or did she only use cliffs?

I'm okay with over-preparation... in fact, I feel more comfortable when the actual test is easier than the real-deal.

Is there anyone out there with experience with the Barron's book?

I used Barron's. It's wordy. Very wordy. Then again, Barron's is known to be wordy. Stick with Cliff's, or grab a study guide for a Campbell's textbook.

Cliffs is the way to go.

Cliffs is awesome. It's really in- depth but it still covers everything. I got a 5 on the AP test, 770 on Subject Test using Cliffs

Barrons. Like a mini-Campbell but portable!
