Well i plan on taking world history, us history , spanish ,and biology. I have heard on past threads that kaplan and barrons are the best, but which one is better overall? ( good review , quizes , info, and realistic test) also which one could get me close to a 800? thanks

from what i have heard Barron's sounds better

barron's overprepares you..and since it is summertime, you have enough time to study extra...so i'd say go with barron's. better safe than sorry.

this is what i did...

i bought both. barron's definetely over prepares you. i remember for math 2c i kept on scoring in the low 600s, but ended up getting a 780 on the real test. anyway, so what i did was i used the barron's book to prepare and took all the practice tests. a few days prior to the exam day, i took out the kaplan book and only took the practice tests in there. i did this for all my sat ii's. it's not only a confidence booster, but kaplan has more realistic tests than barrons.

good luck!

Make sure you use Kaplan without taking much but the practice questions out of them. Their explanations suck. In fact, try to not get Kaplan.

seriously kaplan has the worst explanations out of all the test preps
