I got accepted to Baruch, looking for a computer engineering program. City offers it, but other CUNY don’t so I am cool with CS. But Niche just ranked Baruch higher than CCNY in Computer Science Ranking. Do Baruch offer more than CIS. Does CIS people get more CS jobs than actual CS majors do?
CIS is a more recent thing, not as well-established as Computer Science which has been around a lot longer. I would go for plain old Computer Science instead, which is why I didn’t apply to Baruch… but who knows, every employer is different.
Baruch does NOT have a good program if you want to go into the computer field.
Excellent for a business major to learn basics of computers, but not competitive for tech jobs.
