Baruch Transfer Chances?

I'm currently going to a community college in my 3rd semester and I have a 3.7 GPA and I expect it to go up by either .1 or .2 at the end of this semester and I wanted to transfer to Baruch to study Accounting. I never took my SAT/ACT tests though. And my high school average was in the low 80s (would they even look at that with the 50+ credits I'll be transferring?)

What are my chances of getting in to the regular program and what are my chances of getting into the honors program? Is the business school very competitive? I'm in-state by the way.

im in comm college too (international student)..this is my 2nd semester.
im applying to study Acturial Science and Accounting (soph).

my HS GPA : around 3.3
my 1st semester GPA : 3.67
my current midterm: 3.67

i think if youre transfering as a junior, they will look your college records more than your HS..
i hope our chances are BIG... x]

openchestwounds your chances are extremely good. As for the honors program, I was told that transfer are not allowed to enter the honors program. Don't worry about your HS record or SATs as you've taken more than enough credits to make up for any mishap.

Good to know, shame about the honors program though! Oh well, I guess I had to pay for all the slacking i did in high school somewhere along the line! =P

openchestwounds, have you been admitted to Baruch? Did they send you a mail or can you check it online/via phone?

you are accepted, just send in the application.

katakashi11, i'm sorry, but i don't understand what you meant. Did you get accepted? I've sent my application in February. Everything is completed now. I'm just waiting for the decision letter.

Sorry, let me clarify. I would be extremely surprised if those two above that posted their stats above weren't accepted into baruch. This is based on my many friends who have got into baruch, so I think you all should fare well.

the fact that it takes so long the get the decision letter that is bothering me.

Just call the number instead of waiting on the letter. 212-997-2869- 24hours decision hotline, enter the stuff they ask for and it tells you if you got in. My decision already came out and I am a transfer

i've called the number thousand times.. it just said "your application is accused to be completed (i don't know if they're the right words), and allow 4-6 weeks to get more information about your acceptance." Does it mean I've been accepted? But to which college? What major? And this message has been like this since like.. mid-April. Should I just wait, then? I've tried to email one of the admission officer (since the phone is always busy). She usually quick to response, but she hasn't reply my email yet. Huh.. I hate this.. Why it takes so long just to give out decision if they have rolling admission. My application is completed in Jan 07, 08! And I've sent everything in February. Baruch is my safety, so I need to know the decision like right now, so I can do something if anything bad happen.

just got admitted to baruch. I sent an email directly to baruch yesterday, asking about my application, and they changed my status today.

Hi…I want to apply to baruch college as an International Student…So far I study in Greece in a college in cooperation with SUNY…I have 37 credits and my GPA is 3.4 Do you think I have chances to get accepted??? Can you send me the link where I can find the application form PLEASEEEE!!!
