Baruch vs Northeastern for Business

i just dont know what to do and i dont want to transfer to Baruch and end up wondering what i could have done if i stayed at Northeastern. But i rally need to save the money and want to go home.

and because northeastern was ranked #1 in job placement. and isnt, afterall, what college is about?

Yeah, if you want to work at Northeastern in the future, like everyone else there...

TUOwls2011,, what do u mean?

Dont the students who graduate go on to work at their co-op or other related jobs?

Yeah, but a high percentage of their co-ops are the school itself...

Baruch gives you the opportunity of being in NYC and networking. Think about it.

Northeastern isn't good enough and Baruch isn't bad enough to justify the 30 thousand dollar difference.

Either way, it seems like you have your mind made up, though I don't think it's the right one.

I'd go to Baruch.:) hands down

you guys dont know. im asking everybody about this decision...

someone said. "yeah youll be in new york but it will be harder to get a job because you will competing against many people for the same job"

that true?

Why would it be easier coming from a Boston school? Whoever said that has no idea what they're talking about...

because northeastern was ranked #1 in job placement in the country!..higher than harvard, yale, etc

If you plan on working in NYC, Baruch carries wayyyyy more clout than Northeasten (you would be hard pressed to find a business in NYC that is not familiar with Baruch and its reputation as a business school). If you are based in NYC, if you cannot get into Columbia or Stern then $ for $ the next best school is Baruch.

There are some of use (mini) who remember back in the day when people only went to NYU because they had $$ and could not get into Baruch ;) .

Baruch still has a larger internship base and a larger alumni base (and of course a larger NY student body) than NYU.

Dollar for dollar, if you had to pay full freight at NYU, and instead took the extra $160k and invested it in other parts of your education or future business opportunities, the comparison with Stern is "interesting", to say the least, and not necessarily in the latter's favor. This would be especially true if you were a top student at Baruch, but only a middling one at Stern.

Finished the application to BarucH!!!! =]]]]

i hope i dont regret this change

That is why I would never have told you what you should do!

Good luck with your application!

done with appssssss
