baruch zicklin getting a BBA degree ?

I plan on transferring this fall to CUNY Baruch's school of zicklin for business. I realized that most of the majors they offer has BBA in front of it. I search up BBA and it stands for bachelor for business administration. I heard a BBA is useless because it is very general/broad, not a specific curriculum contrary to the name of the major written AFTER BBA (ex. BBA of MARKETING).

Question- Is a bba degree worthless?
Is baruch school of zicklin competitive & will I land a high paying job?
Is it worth going to higher education after undergrad to get a MBA & attend a top tier business school like NYU?

Help me make sense of this please. Thank you!

If all their degrees are BBA your concentration matters the most (Accounting, Finance etc)

I see. How well do marketers do?

bump, 10 char

can anyone let me in on which business route would be the best to take. Good career aspect, wide range of internship/jobs available, don’t need a whole lot of schooling etc. Not particularly basing my major off this, but very curious.

Willeeum: A. C .C.O.U. N.T.I.N.G= 9 letters

Accounting is not very enjoyable. It’s repetitive and tedious.

economic? finance? business administration? marketer? stock broker? ???

how would the business field rank in order (best to worst pay)

I hope I’m not coming off too rude, but I feel bad for any and every school that is taking in students with your attitude. Little schooling with wide and good job aspects? Go to bartending school.

I’m currently a student at Baruch, and was a part of Zicklin. I also have many friends in Zicklin, but I myself transferred out of Zicklin and into Weissman.

If you want a good job, then go with accounting. You’ll be able to get almost any internship if your grades are high enough. Furthermore, accounting is probably the largest major at Baruch, so you’ll have plenty of competition.

Don’t worry about the title of the degree. BBA in X is fine; not only do students and graduates find jobs, but there has to be a reason why many of the recruiters go to both NYU and Baruch.

I’m not sure if you’re a high school student or a transfer, but you need to grow up and get out of the mentality that a job or career is filled with tedious or repetitive work. List a few that aren’t, and then try to guess how possible it is to get a job like that.
