<p>How exactly are basic flights chosen? I always wondered that. The reason I ask is that im a med turnback and curious if i would be in the same one as last year.</p>
<p>They should be random. Med turnbacks are the same way, except their old squadron (and thus, flight) is usually eliminated from the pool (mine was an administrative error so I ended back where I started). So the chances of you going back to the same flight should be zero.</p>
<p>unless there’s a special reason against you being in the same flight, it should be completely random, meaning you’d have a one in 40 chance of going back to your same squadron. but alas, guess you’ll find out at Doolittle Hall on thursday!</p>
