Basic GPA Question

I know at UC's they calculate A-'s as 3.7's. Do they do this at all schools? Say you have an A- at a UC which equals a 3.7, but if you transfer to a private school, is it still a 3.7? Pretty basic. Thanks.

yea, A- is a 3.7 at most or all colleges

I thought an A- was a 3.67.

3.0-B 3.3-B+ 3.7-A- 4.0-A....some schools have A+ and some dont. ive never heard of the 3.67 thing but its entirely possible at some schools.

It is the case for many schools.

And isn't a B+ a 3.335 or something like that?

yeah A- in most schools is 3.67 as I have heard

Some schools like the Rutgers system in New Jersey do not have an A-. Thus a B+ is a 3.5.

just make it simple and get all A+'s :]
