Yep, Hard-Core 2-4 (my squad, CS-24) is (numerically) the first squad in Sijan. We used to be in Vandie, but we switched a while back. Some people say they'll move us back over there after all the renovations they're doing in Vandie are done, but I think 24 is gonna be in Sijan for a long time to come.

CS-03 is kinda strange name wise. It was Cerberus, but changed to Dogs of War. Most people still know both, due to the squadron patch featuring Cerberus.

It has been this way for a long long time. 4 digs will switch to a new squad as upperclassmen. These correspond to which basic flight goes with what squadron.

For example, I believe Hornetguy is in Tiger Ten (CS-10). As an incoming Basic this summer if you are assigned to Cobra Squadron B Flight then upon completion of BCT you'll be assiged to Tiger Ten for your 4 dig academic year. Upon completion of your 4 dig year you are then shuffled to your permanent squadron.

Correct! I'm just waiting for redhead to some how be shuffled to Tiger Ten so that life will just be that more interesting for the next 2 years! lol

Thought I would bring this back up to go with the I-day thread. 2011's can also post their new squads if the 4 degree shuffle is announced this week.

I talked with the lady who puts together the squadron shuffle assignments on Friday and it wasn't done then. She said hopefully it will be done by Monday? I wouldn't count on it though, they've been giving us dates and breaking them for a few weeks now.

BUUUUT Tiger Ten would be hilarious... My loyalties still lie to 25, I wish I was going into this squad as an upperclassman! It's probably the most chill squad in the wing (once you're recognized). ;)

Yeah, 24 is a legit upperclassmen squad too. With a few exceptions (about one person in each class), everyone is really chill...and our AOC is one of the best (well, that's my opinion at least).

Even if you get a squad that you don't seem to like at first, whether because it's not "chill" or whatever, chances are you'll find your impression of squadrons will change. All you have known so far to judge squadrons by are the people above you, and how you're treated as a freshmen. As an upperclassmen, especially a year or two down the road when you have organizational responsibilities, you may find that the "chill" squadrons are the ones that actually bother you the most.

Point is, nearly 100% of the time you can and will make your new squadron your home...and it may not be how it first appears. I was excited coming into my squadron when I first showed up...as it was one of the most "chill" squadrons in the wing. Now there are times I wish I was in any other squadron, and I'm wanting to know as badly as you guys do who in your class is coming here, because we need some good people who actually care about the Academy to come to this squadron.

Just keep that in mind. Not everything is how it seems. :)

Um, not so much. Cynicism runs rampant here.

Personally, my squadron is amazing. At first I thought it wouldn't be last year till closer to the end right before finding out I was coming here... However, it has been amazing between our AOC, my class in squad, and the other members. It's great! in the words of Tony the Tiger. HuZzUh. :)

Yeah, my AOC told all the freshmen in my squad the roster should come out soon...then again they've been saying that for a while.

According to someone doing the shuffling, "there were unforseen errors." I just want to know why it took so long for them to catch the errors. I didn't care quite as much before Finals, but now that those are almost over (well, for me), I really want to know where I'm going. I guess patience is the key now...

I got 33...I haven't heard much about them, except that they train their 3-digs (ruck-runs and such)...I guess I'll just have to take your advice G4C.
