Basic yet urgent question

I'm applying to UChicago ea nov1st. However, I'm going to be taking an SAT I (which i think will have a score far surpassing the last one I took) on Oct 4th.
I'm wondering how this "send scores" thing works. If I sign up for this test and tell collegeboard to send scores to UChicago, will they only send my previously taken SATs and i'd have to send scores again once the SAT was graded? If I have to wait until the SAT is graded, will UChicago still accept my score even though it will probably come in like a week after Nov1st?

Also, what essays do colleges put more consideration towards- the common app essay or the individual college supplement essay?
Thanks

They don't start looking exactly at Nov. 1st im pretty sure. And i think they look at both essays equally, but since one is geared to a specific college I would put a good amount of effort into the supplemental one.

When you sign up to send your scores they'll send all your scores, including the score from the Oct. SAT.

Absolu3, there is no Common APP for Uchicago, i don't think.

that doesn't really answer the question, but yes it goes by the common app

@ Absolu3, you're right, they added the commmon app for the class of '13. Good call.
