Ok...so let's be honest 2009ers...senioritis is kicking in ! (even for us "good" students). My school is on a semester system and my semester ends in January yay:-)

SO HERE'S THE DILEMMA...in total, I have taken 6 ap classes ( 3 my senior yr) throughout high school. i am taking ap biology and feel im not learning jack ****, but I have an A. I anticpate this semester I will have all A's and 1 A-..so decent grades. BASICALLY I WANT TO DROP AP BIO AFTER 1ST SEMESTER cuz im not learning anyhting. that means, my schedule will consist of 2 APs (calc/english)...2 other classes...3rd yr foreign language...and then replacing biology = ORGANIC CHEMISTRY. WILL THIS SCHEDULE CHANGE CAUSE A COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY TO RESCIND/REMOVE MY OFFER FOR ADMISSION? (I DO PLAN ON NOTIFYING THE COLLEGES I HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED TO /APPLIED TO ABOUT THIS CHANGE W/ A FORMAL EXPLANATION, SUCH AS : "MY CAREER INTERESTS ARE NOW VENTURING IN THE CHEMISTRY FIELD RATHER THAN BIO..BLAH BLAH SO IT DOESN'T LOOK TOO BAD." BUT UTLIAMTELY...WILL THIS/CAN THIS SCHEDULE CHANGE CAUSE A COLLEGE/UNIV TO RESCIND/REMOVE MY OFFER OF ADMISSION?

THANKS GUYS!!!! IF YOU NEED ANY OTHER INFO/HAVE QUESTIONS .. PLZ ASK.
P.S.: IM NOT PLANNING ON TAKING THE AP BIO TEST EVEN IF I STAY IN CLASS.

I didn't read the entire thing, so forgive me if you already mentioned this, but I hope it helps anyway.
If you send an email explaining your reasons for wanting to drop AP Bio and switching into another class to all of the colleges you've been accepted to or are applying to, and then actually ask if that would mess up your application, they should wholeheartedly give you permission. But the general agreement from the other similar threads was that the colleges appreciate the attempt to communicate in a mature manner and are more than happy to oblige.

if the senioritis is truly kicking in, as you say, wouldn't you prefer to remain in a class where you aren't learning jack **** than switch into a class where you may be required to exert a little effort? orgo is no picnic.

at my school it is !!!! teacher's A is an 85 percent . and teacher <3s me lol.
she's the nicest/easiest grader at school.
and im learning NOTHING in AP Bio..my teacher sucks. will it be bad if i drop BIO?

moving back on topic, the only way you'll find out is if you email the college and they let you know based on their policy. Although I do find it hard to believe that a college will rescind their acceptance simply based on dropping one AP course with a reasonable reason...

bank..thats the reason why i wanna drop lol. A W/ AP CREDIT counts towards ranking/graduation/etc for semester 7 (1st sem snr. yr) only..so why the hell stress myself out second sem. lol?
