sat 2000...i have a few extra curriculars that i really dedicate myself to but im not gonna go into detail...im a vars athlete, i do science research, math, and community service. i have a few significant awards and i am hoping that intel will be my hook into a good school. i just hope the low sats wont hurt too much tho...i would like to get 200+ higher but i am gonna be a senior and its very late esp if i wanna apply ea...which i am

I agree with idad. That being said, you should still try to bring up your SAT score. After all, higher test scores are always better. Study hard for the October SAT and maybe you will improve your score.

this year im taking ap calc, ap chem, ap eng, ap bio, and ap spanish. i took ap physics, ap american, and ap eng 11 as a junior. my gpa is a little over 97, im hoping to get it up to 98 at least. im also in science research, chorus, and orchestra and im the concert mistress. im interested in uchicago because of their rigorous curriculum, which i feel i am capable of handling.

you've got a good gpa. but like everyone's already said essays are really important. research what a/b their curriculum appeals to you and articulate it to them. good luck! :)
