BasicallyRepeating French III...

Hello

I am taking French III this year but because of the schedule conflict with French IV and AP Calc BC next year, my school is offering me "Advanced French III." Basically this course makes me take French III class again. Except, I will meet with my teacher outside of class and do "additional assignments and expectations ( like watching a movie in French and write a review about it. Do a research about a topic of their choice dealing with French culture and etc.) designed to challenge me to grow and develop as a French user and learner, and increase my practical use of the language."
There is no other solution than this and I can't stop French.
I am a rising senior. My schedule has 4 APs next year and this french course.. for now. But I am still worried. My college counsellor said that he would explain my situation to colleges, but would it still look bad? :/

It’s not bad, per se. But if the only people in this class are in your situation,I would ask that the class be named “Advanced French.” It’s a clerical maneuver and looks less strange on your transcript.

he thinks that it’s not appropriate. He said the use of the word “advanced” in the title implies to colleges that I will be doing something beyond French IV, which is not the case…
