I am wondering if it is worth the trouble to submit an appeal to UCSB. Throughout my freshman and sophomore year, I maintained a GPA ranging from 3.8-4.0. However, in my Junior year, my GPA fell to a 3.5 in the first semester and a 3.3 during my second semester. My UC GPA for Junior year S2 comes out to 3.2. However, my Senior year S1 UC GPA came out to be 3.75. Do I have any chance of being accepted on an appeal? Thank you.
Do you have new information, or would they just be looking at the same app they already denied?
I applied as a Communications major and I am also the Editor-in-Chief of the school newspaper. However, I wouldn’t have any new information. Just an improved GPA. I could also maybe get 2 letters of rec.

I guess you can weigh for yourself whether an additional 3.75 first semester fulfills the above. Good luck!
