<p>I've recently been looking into the following colleges; Bates, Colby, Bowdoin, Hamilton, Vassar... what are my chances? Hoping to major in History or Psychology.</p>

English H - 93%
World History H - 100%
Government and Law - 94%
Chemistry H - 83%
Spanish - 87%
World Religions H - 94%
Algebra - 89%</p>
<p>grades for junior year (so far, and based on how i've done in the past):
Spanish - 87%
AP English - 96%
AP US History - 93%
Biology H - 94%
PreCalculus - 87%
Psychology - 95%
Criminal and Civil Law - 94%</p>
<p>Extras:
- crew for one year
- girl scouts eight years, completed bronze award and in the process of gold award
- classical guitar four years
- volunteered at strings camp two years (Summers)
- participated in JETS competition two years (math and science competition)
- art club two years
- radio club one year</p>

<p>What about freshman year? Also, it’s hard to chance you without test scores.
I don’t know about Hamilton and Colby, but the others look like reaches to me, especially Vassar, due to your lack of strong ECs.</p>
<p>Thanks for your comment! I just took the SATs about a week ago, so I don’t have my scores yet. As for strong ECs… I know… This year I am going to be tutoring kids in Hartford after school, also I’ve been taking French through an online corse and visited France for three weeks this past Summer. Any ideas of what else I could do this year to strengthen that area? (ECs I mean). And do colleges seriously look at your grades from freshman year? I was told only later years.

<p>Yeah, update us once you get your scores. Like glido said, a 2100+ will put you in a good place. As for ECs, since you’re a junior, go for leadership positions. Tutoring is good. Are there any organizations at your school that may be looking for somebody to take charge? Do that, if possible. Maybe start a club yourself.</p>
