Can anyone out there give a chance? I’m debating whether to apply due to financial reasons. Only would apply if I can realistically get it.

I sincerely need a chance.

Do I even have a shot?

I’m honestly not very familiar with Bates, so I’m probably not the best source for this, but I did promise chance-backs…

From what I can see on College Board, About.com, etc Bates puts a lot of weight into grades and rigor. Although progression is great, your grades seem a bit low for Bates. However, your 4 APs senior year show a rigorous courseload, so that’s good for your chances, so if you are truly interested in Bates, have demonstrated interest by visiting or something, and interview well, it’s worth a shot. In CC Chance Me jargon, I’d put it at a low reach.

It’s gonna be tough, but as long as your essays were fantastic you definitely have a chance. Gonna put it at a low reach as well

Your GPA could hurt you, but you’ve shown improvement which is good. You have a rigorous course load too, but the lack of extracurriculars doesn’t provide any excuse for not doing exceptionally in all of the classes. Maybe you should take SAT/ACT and submit the scores? If you do well it could really help you. Either way, I still think you have a chance. :)
