Bates v. Dickinson

Hello, I'm posting this for a friend of mine who's having some trouble deciding on which college to attend next fall and was wondering what some CC people would have to say. My friend is a Hispanic student at a small private school who is torn between Bates and Dickinson. She's considering a major in biology (possible pre-med) and is therefore looking for a school that is strong in the sciences. At the same time, however, she wants a school with a strong foreign exchange program and a more diverse climate (ideologically, racially, and internationally diverse). An academically challenging environment is definitely a benefit; however, she wants a school in which she has the ability to also get involved in community service and the social scene (not, however drinking. She likes parties but doesn't drink). Prestige, distance from home, and weather conditions are unimportant as is the price thanks to the generous financial aid packages of both schools. She'd appreciate any imput you could give her on which one to go with based on her preferences. Thanks!
