I am most likely going to suny albany, and if i live in indian quad (with communal bathrooms) is there a changing stall and then the shower? or just like a curtain and a shower. please help. Thanks
The bathrooms in the shared suites in Indian Quad do not have a changing stall. It’s just a curtain with the shower on other side.
@Aire11 I thought indian was communal style bathrooms? and state had suites?
Sorry if I confused you. I don’t know the local lingo regarding the dorm layouts at UAlbany in the various quads as I did not go to college there. However, I have recently used the restroom of a relative’s dorm in Indian Quad so I just know enough about what it looks like to answer your question. The basic layout of the “suite” or whatever you want to call it in Indian Quad is that you go through a door, and there is a tiny hallway inside with 4 doors. One door leads to the bathroom, and then each of the other three doors leads to a small two person dorm room. All six people living there share one bathroom that has one toilet and one shower (with no changing stall). I have no idea how they manage to get six people through one shower in the morning before classes start - it didn’t look like a very comfortable arrangement to me.
