Bausch and Lomb

I just got a letter for 13k/yr for B&L. Is this it for financial aid? I think I heard that NM Finalists get at least 17k/yr (although even this isn't sufficient for me to be able to attend).

I got the Dean’s scholarship for 11K a year with 33 ACT and 3.84 and strong activities. Are there any scholarships to apply for? 33 ACT is above the middle 50% at Rochester, so I would think there would be consideration. Perhaps the scholarships beyond Dean’s reflect higher performance

My D received one scholarship today ( kind related art, can’t remember the name). My question is if she is going to receive more than one kind scholarship, shoukd they come in the same letter or come in different envelope?

I mean it is the only one scholarship she received or there are still others coming?

Thanks.

Carnivore–all applicants are considered for all available scholarships. UR does not have a separate application process for scholarship consideration. So the merit award you received is likely the only one (unless you’re a NMF) that you will get.

BTW, performance (GPA + test scores) are not the only criteria used in awarding merit aid. Leadership, service, ECs, diversity and other factors are taken into consideration.

QRG–If I understand correctly, merit awards come with the acceptance and it’s unlikely there will be additional ones. (Exception: NMFs who name UR as their first choice.) However, need-based aid awards will come separately about 7-10 days after acceptance is received.

Hi, where you live in? I am in LOS ANGELES, and still waiting…
Really nervous.

Were those nominated for Bausch and Lomb supposed to have heard by now? Is it a bad sign I have not heard even though I was nominated?
