Also, does anyone know how much Baylor would potentially give to a student with an EFC of 0 on the FASFA?
@jlw7632 I’m not sure how much financial aid I’ll get yet. I just submitted the FAFSA a couple of days ago
I have no clue about the cap on aid. But I have the G.I bill, and from my academics, I was awarded a transfer scholarship.Plus I am applying for Yellow ribbon wish such cover everything else. So with luck, I won’t have to pay anything as long as I maintain my 3.9.
@jacobcook7337 – In a nutshell:
Top 5% of class
3.7/4.3 (unweighted/weighted)
NMSF
1500 SAT
Has anyone heard about admissions decisions today?
Not me! Which is super frustrating because I will have to have made a decision, found an apartment, signed a lease etc in less than a month…
Nothing here, either. ID field is still blank. No change
I applied Early Action. I submitted my app on applytexas on Oct. 23. I then received an email on Oct. 25 to create a goBAYLOR account. I submitted my resume, teacher rec letters, test scores, and transcript. I submitted my short answer on Nov. 1. Do you guys know when I’ll get a decision?
The official answer is all EA should hear by Jan 15. I think that a lot of folks are beginning to hear now. My D applied on August 8 and had her last documents (rec letters) submitted by 10/25 and we have not heard yet.
Do you guys think I have a chance of being accepted with SAT 1180/1600
@ student12322 I hope so! I really think they look at everything about you including test scores, class rank, service, ECs and recs.
Really anxious to hear as well!
@student12322 They definitely look at A LOT more than just your test scores. I had a 24/36 on the ACT and a 4.0 UW GPA. My ACT score put me in about 30% of applicants they would pick bc it was so low. But also, I did all of the required items and also I had a lot of leadership positions as well as extracurricular activities. So i think that’s those outweighed my test score. With all of this, I eventually was accepted about a week ago. Baylor really loves to admit people that shows a passion for attending Baylor. As long as you do all of the recommended items and you have a well-rounded resume, you will probably be admitted. Not 100% but darn close though.
Also, did you apply early action or SCEA?
@jlw7632 Yeah I definitely agree with you! I also have a lot of leadership roles, and a well rounded resume! I hope I get in though!!! I applied early action; still haven’t heard back from the admissions though.
@jlw7632 Which major did you choose?
The people who applied as Early Action:
If you get deferred/rejected/admitted please let us know on here!
My DS - applied EA, went to DSD, was accepted mid-last week. $60K initial merit award.
I got accepted this week…my gpa weighted is 3.59, I am ranked 400 out of 700, I have a 1330 on SAT, I am a 3rd generation legacy, and I also received a $40K merit scholarship.
@dabbey310 Did they email you your acceptance? Or did you check the goBAYLOR account?
@student12322 I checked gobaylor at around 7pm and it came out on there but then the next morning they sent me an email telling me to check my gobaylor
