Baylor Class of 2025 EA/RD

@JenR8R Congratulations to your daughter! Yes, the 12:30 zoom link was a quick, fun session with the basketball coach announcing the kids’ acceptance. Look on your daughter’s GoBaylor home page to see the video. They posted it to my daughter’s page so I’m sure it’s on your daughter’s as well. Y’all will enjoy it!

@ncelotto I have a feeling you will hear good news from Baylor before January! All the best to you!

I received my acceptance notification yesterday (10/25) during the Baylor Premiere! So exciting!! Good luck to everyone who is still awaiting the decision, and congrats to all who have been accepted!

@2021senior I submitted my application in September, and I received my acceptance yesterday (10/25) during Baylor Premier! Good luck!!

I applied at the beginning of October and just got accepted. I’m from Kansas so I don’t think that it matters if you’re from Texas.

To everyone that got accepted… Congrats! What were ur stats, classes, extracurriculars (if u don’t mind saying!)?

LOVED the video. Baylor is at the top of her list! What a great way to make kids feel special and wanted. I hope those waiting for their decisions get to see it soon.

We are from northern Wisconsin. I’m going to guess that there aren’t many students from Wisconsin at Baylor. It’s really cold here and we’ve already have snow. I’m ready to move to Texas, too.

My daughter applied and received her goBaylor info but the Visit & Connect tab is not on her portal account. Does anyone know if her application has to be loaded onto the admissions portal for the Visit & Connect to show up?

My son just found out he has been accepted with a healthy scholarship
Been waiting about 3 weeks since application complete
97.15 GPA
Engineering
Test Optional
Several DC and AP courses
Hundreds of volunteer hours
Musician

Congratulations! My son also just got his acceptance email for engineering with a lovely merit scholarship. It has also been about 3 weeks since he applied. Now we have some decisions to make

3.75 UW GPA/ 4.60 weighted
SAT 1530/ ACT 33
Varsity Golfer, plus lots of volunteering, clubs etc

Congratulations! My daughter also got her acceptance email today (Biology - pre-med track) with a nice merit scholarship! That really makes the college more affordable. She applied on 10/17!

3.67 UW / 1420 SAT / Decent essays + ECs

Daughter is super thrilled! This is her first college acceptance.

@norcalfre Congratulations! My daughter graduated from Baylor last year and was also pre-med. She absolutely loved the school.

@kscm91 I keep hearing that Baylor is a really good school to pursue pre-med. Really glad to hear that your daughter loved Baylor! We are excited.

Also, I got another email stating that we could apply to scholarships (like Gettermen, Inv. to Excellence). They need an essay along with the scholarship application. Are we eligible to apply to these scholarships even though Baylor has given us a nice merit scholarship with her acceptance?

@kscm91 @norcalfre my GPA is definitely solid, but my SAT was a 1310. I already submitted it officially and Baylor has received the score. I submitted my application on 10/26 for EA. Do you think it was a mistake to send the 1310? Will it hurt my chances at getting any merit scholarship? I feel like my GPA is definitely much better than the SAT. Be honest. I feel like it was a mistake, but maybe not.

@ncelotto I’m no expert in college admissions, but my college counselor mentioned that if the SAT score was above 50 percentile for that school, then definitely report it.

Mid point for Baylor seems to be 1293, so you are right about there.

@norcalfre I’m not really sure how it all works. My daughter completely took care of her applications and basically just kept me informed. For my son, we didn’t even fill out everything you’re supposed to but still got $80,000 merit money.
My daughter specifically picked Baylor because of their pre-med reputation. She’s now in PA school at Baylor College of Medicine so it worked out well for her.

@ncelotto I definitely think the schools prefer to see those test scores if available but I know that Baylor focuses more on GPA, especially now I would think. Good luck!!

Hey everyone! Just curious: what is the highest academic/merit scholarship Baylor awards? I am guessing it’s $92,000. Is this figure the Presidential Scholarship? Please let me know if there is a higher number.
