Baylor or TCU for Physics/Pre-Med track

My son has been accepted into both with great scholarships, making both affordable options. We were unable to visit due to travel restrictions. Which school seems to offer a better pre-med/ physics, research option? I lean towards Baylor but TCU really makes some good arguments. Just for a little background my son is very academic, not a partier and not interested in greek life. He does love to play tennis and otherwise very social. Thanks in advance.

Neither school is known to be “very academic”.
Are you Christian? Baylor is Baptist (as you must know) and they take their faith identity seriously. There will be religious requirements (both academic and extra-curricular). If your son takes his faith seriously, it’ll be a good environment to grow in faith, but if he’s not interested or not religious, TCU is probably a better fit because their expectation of a relation to faith is seen as more individual.
AFAIK, Baylor is more “sporty”, and both are social.
In terms of premeds, the competition is probably better at TCU. Most premeds don’t make it to med school so a collaborative environment with plenty of support is what you’re looking for. Not sure either TCU or Baylor are known for that.
