My daughter got the invite for I2E, but did not get into B2B.
She would have loved to do the BS/MD program.
If she can get a full ride at Baylor, she us definitely interested over other colleges so far where she has been admitted (UT etc.)
What can my son expect on I2E day? Can you give any insight on the process?
My daughter did not get the B2B medical either in round 1 and her stats high, she shadowed surgeon this summer, did a 8 week mini medical school program last winter, sports, tutored etc. I guess it is truly extremely competitive. Good Luck to your daughter.
I have send you a DM on this.
My girl did very similar things. Curious, are you in or out of state? We are out and our state has two universities ranked top 30. I wonder if admissions figures Baylor is just a safety in our case? I would like to gain as much insight as I can this time around because I have another one who will be headed to college in a couple of years. From what I can tell, itâs hard to figure out the mystery of admissions but I canât help but want to tryđ
Iâm sure our kids will land where they re meant to be and who every gets them will be lucky!
Did anyone apply to the B2B law program? I am very interested in the number of people that move on from application to invitation. It sounds like itâs actually quite difficult.
we are OOS, my daughter applied ED, so loves Baylor ( the campus, stuents, size) and its a great program for pre-med. I think they said 70% ( maybe higher cannot remember) of their ore-med srudents get into med school. So strong in education to get good MCaT i assume.
Is anybodyâs application file in the review process? I got an email about two weeks ago about my application file being complete but I havenât gotten another update since then. Iâve only gotten emails from my admissions counselor telling that I can still enhance my application file, but thatâs it, and I have done all that. Iâm starting to get worried and I was thinking of calling admissions but I donât want to seem desperate.
Maybe itâs just too soon. Iâm just anxious because Baylor is my number one choice, and Iâm not a patient person with this type of thing.
I wouldnât worry too much, it appears acceptances are rolling out atleast once a week ( assuming none this week due to holiday)
based on thread above, some
people heard 1-2 weeks after they applied EA back in October and heard early November.
It took a little over 2 months for my daughter to hear back and applied early September. I was told there is no rhyme or reason how they are rolled out, its random.
Be patient, my son got invited to participate in invitation to excellence in January but still hasnât received his acceptance.
Hello, my daughter got her acceptance EA, (buisiness major, 4.3 weighted GPA, top quarter rank, in state, filled out essays, lots of AP, leadership, EC, and volunteer hours). My question is this: several schools weâve toured require a housing deposit ASAP and then you get priority dorm choice depending on the date of the deposit. Does Baylor work like this? I see a $500 deposit which is pretty hefty compared to her other acceptance schools. Baylor is super high on her list but not sure what the next steps are as far as dorm selection or priority. Anyone know how that works? thanks
Baylor does their housing on a lottery system, meaning, it doesnât matter when you pay your deposit, as long as itâs before the housing application is due. Last year it was in April sometime I think. (Donât quote me) But itâs the luck of the draw at that point. At least thatâs how theyâve done it in the past. Like anything else, that could always change.
Same here.
Hi Mom22kd,
Are you in Virginia? We are & DD is still waiting to hear about EA at Baylor.
She didnât do ACT/SAT but has 4.4/3.7 in Gov School; is Presidential Scholar candidate; Bilingual Stamp; Dir of Advisingâs #1 student; lots of leadership/volunteering/awards.
She was not selected for B2B Med and hasnât heard anything else since those decisions posted on 11-22.
Her Baylor application was submitted 10-19.
Applied EA to all schools she could; RD the rest. No ED as she needs $. She got acceptances from VCU & Penn State really quickly.
Itâs unnerving to not hear from Baylor.
We are further south
4.0/4.7
1550 SAT
15 IB, diploma candidate
5 AP, tested on three so far; two 5s and one 3
Tons of leadership and good ECs with state level awards
National merit semifinalist
She didnât get invited to interview for B2B med and no news since. She has already been accepted to UPitt but all other applications are still under review.
EA for us for the same reasons. I feel the same as you, itâs a bit unnerving.
I wouldnât worry too much. I think you havenât heard yet because of the timing of your application. My son applied in early August and heard back on Nov. 6th, if that gives you any idea. Many schools have had a dramatic increase in apps this year (not sure if Baylor has) and are going a little slower releasing decisions. You can always send a message to the admissions department to inquire. I sent a question via Facebook Messenger and they replied quickly!
My DD was the same.
High stats, many APs & leaderships.
EMT with national certification + Presidential Scholar candidate & AP Scholar.
Speaks Spanish & volunteers in Spanish outreach.
Did medical immersion at Wake Forest on scholarship.
Patient-facing medical internship.
Not selected for B2B Med.
Sure would like to hear about the background for the students they advanced in the selection process (!!!).
I havenât seen anyone post here who is advancing, have you?
Wow, i am surprised your DD didnt make it either with all the great internships etc. My did not either with shadowing, did a mini
medical school program with lectures/labs, etc. Anyhow it is interesting not to atleast get to next round. She did get the distinguished scholars round.
