Baylor University Early Decision for Fall 2022 Admission

Your DD is stronger than mine. We haven’t gotten ANY nod from Baylor.
I’m so excited for distinguished scholars for your DD!!!

My DD applied to 14 schools + 7 Special Programs.
So far, the waiting game has been torture. Although I’m relieved some schools have released before the date they committed to, I find myself tied to my DD wondering DAILY if any notifications have arrived! : )

So far, she has only gotten 3 of 21 decisions. Ugh!
Rejected: B2B
Accepted: Penn State Eberly College of Science & VCU

She didn’t want to apply to Duke (good friend is there & DD is convinced she will not stand out) but loves UNC-CH. I’m assuring you are in NC.
I’m hoping DD gets accepted at UVA. I think for the money, it’s extremely hard to beat (especially when she’s staring at a limited budget & med school). Comparing UVA:UNC, it is a toss up SO WHY SPEND THE MONEY FOR OOS!!??!
if she happens to land some $$ someplace, that would be different. But those chances are slim.
DD is in public school for the first time ever and her advisor is EXCEPTIONAL. Told her to apply to a ton of schools and hold her breath; she’s done it all right but she’s a WF and she is unfortunately in the most competitive quota bucket. So – she applied to 14; early action if allowed; & we W-A-I-T.

What’s your DD’s dream school?
My daughter would love to land Vandy but getting in with $$ is doubtful so she’s staying open to making decisions after any/all options are on the table in A-P-R-I-L.

I’ll be bald by then!

My DS applied EA on 10/30 and just received his acceptance tonight 12/1. OOS at a very rigorous private high school, 3.5 UW and did not submit test scores in the business program. His high school has a strong track record of sending 10 kids to Baylor each year, which probably helped.

My son got his acceptance last night. OOS, 32 ACT, 4.0 GPA, Captain of XC team, 4-year Varsity athlete, Co-President of Students helping Students (mental health awareness club), a decent amount of volunteer hours, worked every summer for last 4 years. Invited to I2E in January.

Has anyone hear anything about scholarships? My son was invited to I2E in Jan. But it seems in previous years admitted students were offered scholarships with admissions, regardless if they were awarded later on any of the other special scholarships.

I have the same question too. We have not heard anything about any scholarship and my son went through round 1 in I2E (no result yet). From reading last year post, it seems like ppl was admitted with merit scholarship last year. Have not heard anything this year.

Havent heard or seen anything yet. My daughters portal does say Financial aid award by mid december and any additional scholarships by january 15th.
But odd how years past they recieved with the acceptance for merrit.

I just looked at the financial aid tab and for some reason, I don’t see the table that says FAFSA and CSS profile received, is that normal, is anyone else having that problem?

I looked at the FAFSA website and everything looks normal.

my daughters CSS and FAFSA box is no
longer there either under financial tab that stated she would hear by mid december

Just looked. My son also doesn’t see the CSS/FAFSA box any longer on the Financial Aid tab, but it was there yesterday. He is OOS and attended first round, first session Engineering DSD. No admissions news for him yet.

This waiting game is seriously killing me. My sister heard back last year during the first week of December and still haven’t heard anything for Class of 2026

I know!!! it’s killing me too. I check almost every day and get more anxious as I see more people get accepted before the decision date. It’s insane. I have never felt this anxious in my whole life.

My son was accepted tonight. He applied in September. Biology/Pre-Med. Sic em!!!

I got the email tonight!!! I applied on October 29th. Interior Design Major, ED. For the next steps do I just wait for the financial aid award because I’m seeking the financial aid and then do the deposit?

My DD had applied ED and accepted about a month ago. We did pay the deposit but still no merit/ scholarship or financial aid yet. Portal says by Jan 15th.

We did not hear anything too. But was asked to verified some info on fafsa and CSS earlier this week. Guess they are still working on those.

Our daughter applied 10/5. Early Admission We are in-state and both her dad and I and several family members attended Baylor. Her SAT is 1430. Unweighted 3.722 Weighted 4.223. AP scholar with distinction. We did not send in Fasfa. Her application has been complete since 10/5. All her friends who applied have heard (some applied after her). Yet we haven’t heard anything. Thoughts? Should we be patient and quiet? Should we reach out to admissions counselor? Or is there a possibility she’s a “no” and just wait it out. She gets emails from Baylor to apply for scholarships, to apply for Honors college, etc….but she hasn’t even been admitted. Yes we have checked her Baylor portal. Just says “application complete”.
