With those stats your D will get in. Sometimes the timing is crazy, don’t worry.
Anltx1: My son’s stats are close to your daughter’s, and he just got in last night after applying EA in August. He also got those other emails and attended DSD and wrote an essay after for scholarship consideration. I’m hoping you can consider those a good sign. We tried to, but it was hard to wait as others were admitted as well. I hope you hear good news soon!
Thank you for the encouragement! And congratulations to your son! Sic’Em!
Your daughter has a strong SAT score and great GPA, so I would personally bet she will be admitted, but since she applied in October, and they are still going through so many applications, she will probably be in the next wave. Just my prediction but we are rooting for her and KNOW the wait isn’t easy. Like my mom always says, “Good things come to those who wait.” God has big plans!
Yes! Absolutely agree with your mom. And yes, whatever God has planned for her will be perfect! Thank you for the encouragement!
DD portal says by january 15th now for scholarship info.
This is what it says for my son: Congratulations again on your acceptance to Baylor! If you qualify for an academic scholarship, you will receive more information on February 1.
ours says Jan 15th ( but about 2 weeks ago it said by mid-december)
We’re in the same boat: 3.7/4.4; AP scholar; EMT; Bilingual. We are OOS. Application complete since Oct 15. Not a word from Baylor since she was denied B2B Med.
Waiting.
It’s awful!
The wait game is SO HARD! Thinking of y’all and sending good vibes! We are in the same boat!
Is Baylor your child’s 1st choice?
We’ve only heard from 2 out of 14 schools DD applied for. April is a very long time to wait but I’m relieved that everything is submitted.
Waiting is awful but I think I’d wanna pull my hair out if DD had waited to submit her applications — I know kids who aren’t starting till Christmas break! :)))
Maybe Baylor will send out a few Christmas gifts?!!
May the force be with us all !
I am sure youll hear soon! Your DD’s stats are great. Seems like they are releasing so different than in past years from
what ive seen and how they are releasing merit scholarship too. We havent seen any merit or scholarship yet, they say for my DD by jan 15th. But she applied ED so that may be an earlier date than EA.
Since decisions are dribbling out early, can anyone tell me how they figured out their decision had posted?
Did you get an email notice to check your portal?
Did you just keep checking your portal and stumbled upon the decision?
My DD is monitoring her emails like a hawk but only popping inside the portal once a week because she’s convinced she’ll get an email notification.
Will someone tell us how it works?
You will get an email notification to both parent and student email, to check your portal. At least that’s how we were informed last year. The waiting was terrible!
Like Nysom said this year we received an email to both my son’s email and to ours to go check his portal. We recieved the email at 8:29 est on the 10th. The waiting is the absolute worst but so exciting once you get the notification.
Does anyone know when they typically send out rejection letters for students who applied early action? Trying to have hope, but we’re a little discouraged! My son applied early action on 10/1. We go to a small private school so we know almost everyone at our school who applied, and I think almost all of then have already been accepted, only one of them being early decision, We also know kids at other schools who applied early action and were accepted back in October. Our friend applied November 1 early action and was accepted before Thanksgiving (but he had a letter sent from a prominent alumni sent straight to the dean of arts and sciences.) Super hard having to wait!
We are in the same boat, but trying to be patient. Applied early action Oct 5th. No word from Baylor yet. But most of her friends who have applied there have heard from them. It’s so hard to wait, especially when Baylor is our daughter’s first pick! Wishing your son the very best! Maybe we will hear something tonight!
Thanks so much! Wishing your daughter the best too! At the advice of our school counselor, my son emailed his admissions coordinator just to confirm his application was in process, etc. He got a very short response, they said he should be hearing something the first week of January. That does not sound good to me, but trying to stay positive!
They will send rejections on the 15th, but don’t think just because you haven’t heard, it’s bad news. We were in the same boat last year, and I was convinced we were getting rejected, but it turned out, my daughter received her acceptance 2 days before the deadline date! It was a stressful few months and made for a not so fun Christmas, but it will all work out in the end. We are now going through it all over again with my younger one, and still no news. Praying they all end up where they are meant to be!
Did any notifications go out tonight?
