My daughter was accepted in december. And offered merit scholarship. She received a call from admissions last night but didnt hear the call. Any ideas why would admissions call? She emailed her counselor to ask today but hasn’t heard back yet

I work as a student recruitment ambassador for Baylor. If it was between the hours of 5-9 CT then there’s a 99% call it was one of us calling.
We’re just current Baylor Bears who call every admitted student to congratulate them again on their acceptance to Baylor, ask if they’re still interested in attending Baylor, give them very brief info about starting the enrollment process, and offer to answer any questions about academics/housing/student life etc from the perspective of a current student.

The only other type of call us student recruitment ambassadors are making this week to accepted students are event calls about Baylor events in their area but we would have left a voicemail for that.

Nothing to stress over at all.

Thank you so much. We were worried about missing the phone call.

My accepted Baylor girl never was called…?

She will be, don’t worry. Either we haven’t gotten to her yet or she’s missed our call and went back into our retry list.

Sounds great, thanks. (:

Any chance RD will be released today? This is my daughter’s last school she’s waiting to hear from.

I feel like my daughter is the last person waiting for a Baylor decision. Is anyone else waiting?

DS still waiting too. He applied fairly close to the deadline. It’s our last one so hoping for news soon so we can make travel plans to visit his top choices over spring break.

We are waiting on the exact same reason. We want to make plans to visit the campus!! The waiting it awful!!

Did your son’s portal just change 10 mins ago. offering Summer of Discovery? Summer classes for incoming students?

My son is still waiting as well.

We don’t see anything on Summer of Discovery either - where was it listed? There is a new Baylor Premiere offering in the ways to connect area that I don’t remember seeing before, but it looks generic to everyone.

Nothing has changed for us - I don’t see a Summer of Discovery offering. That sounds encouraging for your status!

My daughter was accepted today at 5pm! Her portal changed at 4 but the actual acceptance came in at 5pm. Now just waiting on financial aid.

Congratulations! Still waiting here…

Does everyone have invitations to apply to certain things under “Academic” in their portal? We see an invitation to apply to Honors, another one for a type of fellowship and then a third for another scholars group. I assume they are all offered to everyone regardless of status but no word here on admissions decision yet.

We only have an invitation to apply to Honors and no other portal changes that I can see. We are criss-crossing the country over spring break for final visits/decisions and feel very fortunate he has options he’s happy with - but eager to hear from Baylor either way.
