My son is accepted by BB&N and Dexter-southfield, entering 7th grade.

I'm very interested to learn people's takes on these two schools. Thanks for responding.

BB&N much strong academically than Dexter hands down
As you know, BB&N coed, no dress code, Dexter more traditional
BB&N long history with great college acceptances.
Dexter’s high school is new and does not have a college acceptance track record

I am a BB&N parent and so my bias shows. Have your son visit and see where he feels most comfortable

Is your son an ice hockey player?(just wondering from your screen name) Dexter has been heavily recruiting boys hockey players the past few years since Donato took over as head coach. He is an excellent coach but is in the game to win and has been bringing in older kids who are blue chip players at the high school level that end up displacing the younger kids who have been in the system.

I know several folks who are very happy having their sons at Dexter
It is good you have a choice of schools
