<p>I remember doing this problem. I missed it the first time that I did it but there is a logical reason why it is A. </p>
<p>B is not correct because it tries to make it a compound sentence and while “Finland provides famous architects” is a complete sentence, “by large numbers” is not. So B can be eliminated.
C is wrong because it uses “is” which suggests the present tense while the rest of the sentence is in the past, shown “has produced”. So C can be eliminated.
D is wrong for the same reason as C and is even worse because it is more wordy
E is tempting and its what I chose the first time I did it but it is also wrong because I THINK it is because saying “and like them” is a more wordy than just simply saying “so” </p>
<p>Next time, try to type out the question and the answers since not everyone will have their BB right in front of them. Hope that helps.</p>

<p>B, C, and D are all in present tense. In E ‘and like them’ is a redundancy of ‘Just as.’</p>
