<p>Can someone explain me the answer to question #13 page 667?</p>

<p>I put A because it seems as though "one had the right to expect something better than what one was used to at Dudley or Wilkins State." Wouldn't that mean that Jocelyn College is viewed as better than Dudley and Wilkins?</p>

<p>The answer is (B) liberal and experimental, but I don't see how it is experimental.</p>

<p>Sorry to keep bumping this, but does anyone have an explanation? There seems to be absolutely no evidence in the text for what he means by “progressive.”</p>

<p>in lines 41 it says “and the very element of repetition gave the whole affair and unwarranted and unreal character”. This means that the progressive college which contrasts from Dudley and Wilkins is liberal and experimental (the opposite of repetitive)</p>
