BB Test scores --> Actual test scores

I scored
640-720 and 650-730 on my last 2 BB tests in the CR section
680-740 and 690-770 on my last 2 BB tests in the M section

So my question is, how do BB test scores compare to the actual test scores? Are they generally higher, lower, or in the middle of the score ranges?

What were your BB score ranges and what did you get on the actual SAT?

The first three BB tests (the ones that give specific scores) were very accurate in predicting my actual score.

Hmm maybe you have the BB #2, there are no exact test scores in the first edition of the BB

I mean. It’s an official SAT exam. In theory it should be smack dab in the middle of what you scored. Though it’s unlikely u would score exactly the same, and u seem to have improved on both parts.

Yeah, I have to admit the practice tests were pretty much within the ballpark of what I actually got (esp the first few tests in which they give you an exact score).

If I had to predict, you’ll likely get:
670-680 on the CR
~720 on the math.
BB tests are usually pretty accurate. I was consistently scoring between a 760 and 800 on the math BB tests, and got an 800 on the actual test. However, I scored 680-720 (760 once) on the CR in the BB, and got a 660 on the actual test, but I really underperformed there (in the actual test) and intend to repeat it for that.

I did all the tests from BB in the two weeks before my first SAT, and I can confirm that they’re quite accurate. I kept a list of all my results, the average score of last 3 tests was just 50 points less than my actual score(but I underestimated my essays). However, many will score a bit less in the real test because of the stress. I didn’t have that problem.

If you aren’t nervous about the test, you can expect to get ~680 in CR and ~720 in math.

I can attest that the results were not very accurate in my case. I used actual QAS.
On math, i scored 800 3 times. I got a 730 on real thing.
On CR, I scored 720/710/700 on QAS. Got a 660
On W, I scored 760ish 3 times. Got a 700.
Then again, nerves usually wreck me.

I do better under pressure, I have trouble taking a practice test seriously and with my full concentration, so I usually do several hundred points better on the real thing.

Test 1: 1800s on practice ones-> 2100
Test 2: 1800s on practice ones-> 2320

BUT, I know many people who can get 2350+ on practice, but struggle with an actual test. It comes down to the individual.

i personally feel a lot depends on how you score your essay, because many a times people tend to be lenient while checking ones own essay(happened to me :slight_smile:
the critical reading and math sections are dead on accurate.
i was consistently getting a 2050-2100 score on all the tests in the BB, ended up getting a 2090 in the real thing! :)

packer22; you are just a brilliant testtaker…the complete contradiction of me :(

^you mean contrapositive

^I am such a bad testtaker :mad:
