divide both sides by 100m^2:
(k^-1)/10 = m^-1.
Since k^-1 = 1/k,
1/(10k) = m^-1.</p>

<p>Or: plug m=100 into the equation
(100,000)k^-1 = 10,000
k=10.
m^-1 = 1/100 - only answer D agrees with that.</p>

Hypotenuse AB=17, leg BC=15, so leg AC=8.
Possible values for x are 10-8=2 and 10+8=18 (point A could be on either side of C; you should not be concerned with that because only one answer is required).</p>
