I'm sure this has been asked many times before, but is there a major difference between a Bachelor's in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and a BS in Accounting? The schools I am choosing between have either one or the other. Could one offer more possibilities? Are they equal in terms of the CPA exam and public accounting hiring? Thanks in advance.

If you want to work for a CPA firm then the B.S. in accounting is he way to go. It is recognized as the degree that offers the most advanced accounting classes such as auditing, theory, and advanced accounting 1&2. It will also give you the best back ground to prep for the CPA exam.

Conversely, if you have any ambitions to move out of the strictly audit/tax fields then a BBA is certainly worthwhile, as it exposes you to the fundamentals of all the business disciplines.
