I am at a crossroads on what to study for--what will probably be--the rest of my life. I do not know whether to get a BBA in Econ and hopefully work towards a MBA or on the other side whether to go for stat and inevitably pursue a MA/MS. I want to do technical work which seems to be a feature of both. I like economics because I feel it is broader, has a higher average salary, and has more job/wage mobility. Yet statistics seems a safer and more competitive ("marketable") degree to pursue. I really have no clue which one is better. I do not want to pick a path that I may regret forever.

I am leaning towards economics but I honestly do not know if I have the confidence and charisma to make it in the business world.
