<p>i’m a junior in high school looking into penn, and the biological basis of behavior major really interested me as i may want to go on to med school but i also have a lot of other interests that are non-scientific (world languages, social sciences, humanities… well, ok, basically i am very interested in all the core subjects). the penn rep i talked to said this major is comprised of bio, psychology, and anthropology. i’m just looking for insights to the program, hopefully people who major in it or did major in it for what its really like?</p>
<p>It's really just a less strict version of the Bio major with the neuroscience concentration (my major), and so allows you to take a lot of courses outside of of the standard bio curriculum and still have them count towards your major. The reason so many premeds do it is because just about every single premed requirement other than your english courses counts towards the major, which makes life a lot easier and enables you to take some more classes that you want to do just for fun.</p>
