BC Admission

Hi I’m a senior in high school and I’ve applied to all of my schools. I was wondering what my chances are of getting into Boston College.

My weighted GPA is 3.56, and my sat score is 1370 (660 Math, 710 Reading/English). I am the captain of both the cross country and track teams, and I participated in other sports throughout high school, as well as many other extracurricular activities. I have also done a lot of community service/volunteering etc…

My dad also attended Boston College and I was wondering if they take being a legacy under serious consideration. He hasn’t really been that involved in the alumni scene…My grandma also went to BC for a year, but I don’t think that counts.

Thanks.

So I applied EA with similar stats to yours and was deferred. My weighted GPA is 3.76 and my SAT our of 1600 is a 1320. My dad also went to BC undergrad. EA is also harder admission wise though so you or me, both of us might be totally fine getting in RD.

I’ve heard that legacy doesn’t make all too much of a difference at this point, but also that legacy applicants do get put in a separate pile.

Sorry I don’t feel like this is a ton of insight but anything else I could say would be major guesses.

Sorry my weighted GPA is actually a 4.56 that was a mistake.
