BC Calc question

I used to think that my AP scores were bad, but then I realized that they were good enough for an AP award. My AP Grades so far are:

Euro: 3
US History: 3
English Lang: 3
Comp Govt: 3
US Govt: 3
BC Calc: 4 (AB Subscore: 5)

My question deals with BC and the AB Calc subscore. If you average the 6 tests that I took, it comes out to ~3.17. However, when you average in the 5 from AB calc subscore, my average score is ~3.43, which is good enough for the AP scholar with Honor award. Are the BC calc score and AB subscore going to be averaged separately or is my BC score the only one that's going to be averaged in?

It's only your BC score.

I think you need a 3.25 and 4 exams for AP Scholar with Honor? I got that last year, and FredFredBurger is right, it's only the BC score (subscores don't matter).

So it looks like you won't qualify. :</p>

Oh well, that stinks. At least I'll get the basic AP Scholar award (three 3s).

I almost wish that I had just taken the AB exam since (assuming I would've gotten a 5 b/c of my subscore) five 3s and a 5 averaged together would give me ~3.33, enough to get the AP Scholar w/Honors award.

The award doesn't mean much, and BC looks a lot better. You mastered more material. Besides, just because the subscore doesn't count for awards doesn't mean schools won't/can't count it as a real 5 (according to the back of the score report).
