BC calc.... :(

I've applied to a lot of selective schools, and all my grades from the past three years lie in the A range. I've taken 5 APs already, and this year I'm taking four, one of which is AP BC Calculus. I've always been fairly good at math, but I find this class pretty tough, and I'm really worried that my midyear report grade will be in the B range. How bad of a situation am I in at this point? Do college's only cut seniors slack the second half of the year? I promise I'm not slacking off at all, I've just had difficulty with this class. I'm interested in econ and political science, but I know some schools expect strong math background from econ majors.

Dropping from an A to a B is okay; dropping from your string of As to a C or D will raise red flags.

A B won’t get you rescinded, and if you can bump your grade up to an A for the second semester, that will be even better.

I’m not into a school yet so…I’m not worried about getting rescinded, I’m worried about getting in in the first place. My other AP grades are A-'s and As, but this one’s bothering me.

They won’t reject you for one B. Don’t sweat it.

ok thanks fledgling
