BC Carroll vs. NYU Stern?

Any opinions?

I believe Carroll has the better businessweek ranking, although I’m not sure where stern is ranked. I know csom is ranked 9th. But stern has all the benefits of being in NYC, which is the biggest selling point. They both are great schools and you will come out successful wherever you choose

I am facing the same, thus far,… (awaiting D-day for Ivies)

BC made an error in FA (clearly not including sis), but I have not seen Stern’s FA yet.

Stern is better for Finance. Businessweek rankings are totally off. USNews are a bit better, but probably Financial Times are more accurate and less biased.

Dear All : An interesting data point - our family knows one young person who transferred from Stern to Carroll for accounting and finance. We know another young man who transferred from Carroll to Stern to pursue management and finance. Both still wonder if they made the right decision. The point here is that the two are virtually identical and all the arguments about rating and such are not of value.

The key point is the differences between the campuses : city (NYU) versus suburban (BC), New York versus Boston, sports orientations, campus, ease of access to city events and such. Long term, many business students are ultimately labelled via their MBA degree rather than an undergraduate program.
