Would love to hear more stats of accepted students. Anyone have any idea how many applicants there were?

1470 SAT, 4.61 weighted, applied to Lynch, all extracurriculars matched to my intended major

Deferred. 1510 SAT. 4.82 weighted GPA. 3.88 UW. 10 APs. Internship in intended major. Disappointed.
Congrats to all who were accepted!

My daughter was deferred. She’s so disappointed, but there are lots of great schools! Head up everyone.

4.2 GPA, 1420 SAT- Accepted into Carroll School. 4 year athelete- 2 of those years-3 sports. Community Service and coming from a Jesuit School and great letters of recommendation. I can confirm based on what his counselor told him is that they received 2,940 applications-50% increase from last year’s ED 1. This took acceptance rate from 41% in ED1 for Class of 2025 to 27% for ED1 for Class of 2026.

Can others log on now? We are getting an error message saying that the site is down for maintenance.

do you know what percent they deferred this year?

I think if they deferred more than they accepted it means that the ppl who got deferred are gonna have a really hard time getting in regular decision because it’s extra competitive

@swordfish26 you may actually have a better chance than the regular decision pool. The admission committee knows BC is your first choice and that you’d be more likely to accept your offer of acceptance than an RD candidate who may be applying widely to other schools in the RD round. Keep your chin up and keep moving forward. Hoping you get happy news in March!

Last year 30% of applicants were deferred to Regular decision and 15% of deferred students were ultimately admitted - Based on the increase in applicants I assume that percentage will be less this year?

wait what were ur stats? u also got deferred right?

I don’t. They kept the admitted number the same as last year’s ED1 despite the rise in applications and that’s about 800. Another user on this thread discussed the same thing several posts ago relaying information from a BC rep that did a program for their school.

yes, i was deferred. 3.9

oh hm I had 3.7/4, test optional

test-optional, 3.86 unweighted GPA, 11 AP courses and 17 honors, accepted to MCAS. 4 year JV/varsity tennis athlete, wide variety of community service and leadership positions from Model UN, youth group, interact club, national honors society, and more. Genuinely believe it was my essay, letters of rec, and extracurriculars that got me in

Surprised with those stats. Do you feel anything could have prevented your acceptance, looks to be higher stats vs many?
