This is a tough one for our family, we have S1 at Duke and D at BC!! It could definitely go either way! I am trying to stay neutral--we watched both games today and we love both teams!!!!!!

lol you are in a tough spot! at least you win either way :)

BC played an incredible game today. They were physical and took it to UNC. Smith is stepping up his game when it counts, and Duke is having issues.

I think BC has a great shot.

While Duke is a better team, show me the last big game they've won in the past four years

Exactly. Nothing.

I think BC can take it, but they're gonna need another double-double out of Craig Smith at the least.

And, of course, get the Dukies out of rhythm offensively, contain JJ's 3-pointer, keep Sheldon outside the paint, keep the ball in Paulus's hands

You're right, sid19--or we lose either way!! We went to the first BC/UNC game in January--what an experience to be among the small crowd of Eagle lovers in a sea of Carolina blue! But I have to say, they were very nice to us! I truly can see the game going either way. We've seen Duke have a tough time in a few games--but we've seen BC lose games they should have won, too. It will depend on which teams show up tomorrow!!

gopats 12--I think that the Duke/Texas game in December was huge--everyone thought Duke was going to get hammered, and instead they blew the Longhorns out! And, they beat UNC in Chapel Hill in February. BC has had a great run in the ACC since those first 3 games--I think the biggest has been the double OT game at NC State! They've played very well on the road. It should be a good one tomorrow!

Tough, tough loss for BC. They really came to play, and I was impressed by their determination in what was essentially a road game. Terrible shot selection at the end killed them, though.

I think we'll be hearing more from BC in the tournament.

ESPN has called the game an "instant classic"!! Hopefully it will show the selection committee that BC deserves a seed higher than the "5" that some sports analysts have predicted. A great overall tournament performance by BC!!

BC isn't getting a 5 seed-whoever suggested that is a fool.

I am predicting a 3 seed.

They definitely deserved a 3 seed--why would Carolina get a 3 seed, and BC a 4 seed after BC beat them twice, and will be higher in the rankings that come out tomorrow?? They got a bad deal, and have to go to SLC to play--go Eagles!!

Carolina got the 3 seed, did they pick that out of a hat or somehting?

a real question: who/what/how determines the location of venue where each team plays, why does BC have to play in salt lake and not DC?

UNC got the three because they are UNC.

What excites me is that a lot of people are picking BC to go very far (I have seen some Elite Eight and Final Four predictions).

xsuubiex~the NCAA committee determines all of the teams (except the auto bids to teams that won their conference tournament, or, in the case of the Ivy League, the regular season--Penn), the seedings, the bracketing, etc. This year seems to be more random than ever. Many teams are unhappy about being shipped to places to play 12, 13 or 14 seeded teams who are much closer to those venues. But, they are thrilled to be in the tournament!!
