BC or Dickinson?

I got into the Honors program at BC, but i got $17,500 a year from Dickinson. Which would you reccommend? Which is better academically? Is BC worth the extra $20,000 of debt?

go to Dickinson!!! I personally think that it is wayyyy more intellectual

While I'd concur with snowy89's conclusion ... IF $$ is a concern for you, your family ... definitely NOT because DC is the intellectual bastion of central PA Amish country.

By the mere fact that you ask the question, you may in part answer it for yourself, i.e. that you do not know or recognize $20K/annum additional value for BC over DC. Which in fact would suggest, it does not exist. Otherwise, you can be absolutely sure BC would have busted its admissions marketing hump to ensure your awareness and conviction of such.

Probably because, for you and your family, it does not exist.

Both are excellent schools. Both will take you wherever you desire to go IF YOU desire it sufficiently. Weigh the things you know AND your own heart, then go with it. Your search for confirmation from a handful of alleged knowitalls here on CC  will only leave you empty in the end. Your answer now lies with you. Good luck, tell us where you're headed.

If money if a major issue, i would go to Dickinson because a person who would be happy at BC would probably be happy at Dickinson

If it matters, I still think that Dickinson is the better school, regardless of location. I actually think that lack of exciting location makes for a vibrant campus life. The students and professors say more about a school than what city it is in.

I agree with the above post. Follow your heart. You have two awesome options so its a win win situation!!!
