BC pratically gave me fullride!

Earlier I posted a thread on how financial aid I could expect and my question wasn’t answered. Today, I was able to view my aid award and I was AMAZED at how much they gave me: $51,000 free money and a few hundred dollars in loans. WOW, I never expected this much and was really relived to receive this much since BC is my first choice and it did have a hefty price tag. Now, I can be able to attend BC not worrying financially. I was just wanted to thank BC online and let everyone else who didn’t receive a aid package yet to keep their hopes up. :)

Congratulation. Welcome to BC.

congrats! it makes me kinda happy to know that at least the aid is going to people (who i assume) REALLY need it. makes it more understandable that my parents are paying out of their ***es to send me here

enjoy it here at BC =)

With every 1 of your stories there are hundreds who are left ****ed off at BC for their cheapness, myself included

I agree with Boston88…I basically got a Stafford loan lol

too bad im not ethiopian..lol jk
congrats! :D

yeah… I wish they gave me a free ride lol

they gave me 34,100 i thought that was a lot… congrats!!!

they gave me 49,000 but I’m not going there. Hopefully the money will go to someone else!

I just got kicked in the ass by BC (Stafford and work study). My parents can manage to cover most of the cost and I’ll be working full-time this summer for sure, but this sucks…

Business owners + new house + middle class income = no financial aid.

Dear PAHreen : At one point last year, I was using the Princeton on-line financial calculator used as one tool in determining financial aid - most schools apply similar formulae. Using a variety of family gross income and savings data, I drew the conclusion that families over $130,000 of annual income and $100,000 in cash savings did not draw aid. Aid basically seemed to start from those points and below - and primary (first) housing situations did not factor into that equation. Has anyone seem similar data points?

Wow, 51000
