I was deferred ED. My email came at 5:24pm but I think my decision was posted a few mins after 5pm and I just didn’t check yet.

I was also deferred from ED1 and my decision came out around 6:30.

My decision was released at 6pm est.

Are these decisions being released today (Wednesday 2/23)? If so, is this just for people who were deferred? I thought decisions were supposed to be released tomorrow 3/24 at 5 pm est.

No decisions are being released today. The other people are talking about their ED decisions. Decisions will come out tomorrow

Anyone have an idea of a good SAT for RD? Looking at the acceptance rate would anything below 1500 be less than optimal?

the middle 50% for admitted students is 1460-1540, so I’d say you’re good if you’re anywhere in that range

Thank you very much. I assume RD will be in the upper range of that if it’s combined ED and RD. GL tomorrow if your awaiting a decision

yeah that’s probably a safe assumption lol, thank you and GL!

If it helps, I was accepted ED with an SAT score of 1490.

is a 4.15 gpa competitive for BC

On Twitter, BC said “no earlier than 5 pm est” We will receive an email alerting us to check our status portal.

Does your school have Naviance? You can see all the BC students that applied from your HS and their admission decision on a scatter plot in that program. Our school goes back about ten years with this data.It shows their GPA and SAT and if they got in, rejected or waitlisted. There are also bar charts by year of graduation; again # of students from your HS that applied, were accepted and how many enrolled.

It’s a solid GPA, but yay for sure BC gets 4.5 to 4.9 GPA students too. Admissions is holistic, so much more about the rigor of your courses, your essays, Letters of Recomm, ECs and awards, SATs &/or ACT if you sent them, any internships, research, national awards etc. Don’t fret any one statistic, they look at many aspects. Good luck.

Is there any portal astrology for BC?

I mean not necessarily, about 25% who get admitted are lower than that, but if it’s lower then yes you will likely have to compensate with gpa or other achievements

It depends on the demogrsphics of the student as well as the other aspects of your app. They are more holistic than most imo.
