Starting this transfer thread as there doesn’t appear to be one for fall 2011 transfers. Hoping to transfer to the College of Arts and Sciences. I was looking at the transfer thread from last year and it looks like ppl heard in May? Thought we could post here while we wait.

I have applied as a transfer into the College of Arts and Sciences; International Studies program with a spanish minor. I am from Western mass and have been at a community college for two years transfering in (maybe) with 60ish credits and a 3.5 gpa. I have been out of hugh school for a few years so no SATs, 25 years old. Wrote an essay about backpacking around the world for a few years afer high school and meeting a Vietnamese ex amry officer and how his life had been influenced and changed by others and how his life contrasted my old high school teacher who had been shot in Vietnam.

I have strong community work like teaching English/skiing in Argentina, working in an orphanage in Cambodia, teaching skiing to underprivlidged kids on Vermont and working with red cross ect.

Hi guys, I’m also applying to Boston College as a transfer for the Fall…anyone know when decisions will be released or do we just know somewhere in late may?

I’m a community college student in NY…out of high school i knew i couldn’t get into BC so I’ve been working for the past two years to get my gpa up and apply; hopefully it pays off

I go to school in NY too. I applied to BC as a senior in highschool and got wait listed. I have worked hard this year so I am hoping they see that. I hope that you get in too.

ive been watching eagles football for a long time so it would be pretty cool to see my first game as a student in alumni stadium…hope for the best for all of us on here

Yeah BC is such an amazing school. I know they still look at standardized test scores, but I am hoping they place much more emphasis on college grades/record.

same, my sat scores are below their average but Im hoping that since i have been out of high school for two years that my college transcript will be the focus
