BC vs. Holy Cross?

Trying to decide between the two. Thinking of doing pre-med, but not 100% sure. Want to be involved in club/intramural sports.

To each his/her own but have you been to Worcester lately…go to BC.

Holy Cross has great pre-med program.

The biggest difference between Holy Cross and BC is simply the size of the schools. HC has less than 3000 total students (all undergrad). BC has over 9000 undergrads plus several thousand grad students for a total of over 14,000 students.

Dear student20134 : The annual question comparing the “School on the Hill” vs. the “School in Chestnut Hill” has again come to the foreground. Before losing sleep over this question, recognize that both institutions will provide an excellent education. Now, let’s put some options on the table for you to consider :

[1] Location Relative to Boston
[2] Division I Sports
[3] Freshman Year Experience (Newton/Upper vs. Single Campus)
[4] Academics
[5] Specific Majors/Programs

Note that required_details added input to a similar discussion from a Holy Cross perspective in this 2011 discussion thread :

Holy Cross has a long tradition of great pre-med program that has produced a Nobel Prize winner in medecine, one of the leaders of the NIH, med school presidents, and 10% of the HC alumni are doctors or dentists.
