Hi everyone, I’m a student from Honduras looking for the best education in business. I’m interested in Management, Finance, or Marketing. What college (UNC or BC) do you think will provide me with hands on education? Regarding college life, which one would you choose? In college, I am looking forward to grow as a person, meet lots of people, and make contacts for the future. Thank you very much in advance!

I spent an extended period of time at UNC during one summer and to be honest, I couldn’t wait to get out of there. The campus is beautiful but there is so little to do around the small town that it’s located in. Granted, I was there during the summer but I’m assuming the town gets OLD quick even during the school year. The only way I’d go there is if I had a car.

The education at UNC is top notch though, but I would look more towards the overall package, which, I think, BC provides. We have wonderful placement in the Big Four as well as with other corporations. We attract some of the best employers on our campus through career fairs, recruiting and informational session.

Plus, we’re located right outside of one of the east coast meccas for college students, BOSTON. So, you definitely won’t be alone in meeting new people from all over the globe.

Both BC and UNC-CH have undergraduate business schools that rank among the top 20 in the US. At both schools, you will get an excellent education.

As for the more intangible qualities you mentioned, I am much more familiar with BC than UNC so I can’t directly compare the two. I can tell you that the Jesuit philosophy of education and the core curriculum will certainly expand your horizons and help you develop all of your talents and skills, not just your intellectual abilities. BC’s alumni network is strong, especially in the Northeast, and Boston certainly offers many opportunities for internships and networking.

O thonk BC would be a better fit, smaller college and easier to get around without a car. Both schools are excellent and either would be a great choice, but location wise I would go for BC
