Does anyone happen to know what questions are asked on the Business/Cinematic Arts joint program application? My D really wants to know, but she can't see the application until after being hopefully accepted.

Hi racedad,

It has been a couple years since my son applied. But, as I recall, the questions were pretty straightforward: Why do you want to be in this program? What in your past influenced you to be interested in film etc…

Nothing deep or analytical as I recall.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info LegacyMom! Hopefully she’ll get some good news this week! :)

Freshman son is a BCA, last year’s questions (paraphrased):

What experiences in your life led you to pursuing a career in the entertainment industry?

Who in the Entertainment/Cinema industry has been influential in your decision to get a BCA degree?

If you had the ability to make one major change in the entertainment industry, what would be your first move?

Thanks vinceh! Gives her a little time to think about it while she waits for a possible acceptance.

The individual or committee that interviews candidates may change the questions. Students come from different backgrounds and have had unique experiences. There may be questions about what was written on the application or what the student’s goals may be at SC.

Thanks Georgia Girl! I may not have been too clear, but I was just talking about the BCA suppliment questions on the aplication. First she needs to get into SC and then into Marshall before she can apply. Not sure if there is a followup interview or anything after that. She is very very excited about the program!
