BCS Berth

When you look at the 2009 allocations, only 1900 were given to students from each team…and this venue is a bit smaller.

If some with 100+ hours got tix, there are some lucky Jrs&srs

Did y’all happen to watch the live stream of ESPN last night as they interviewed and asked questions of the 5 Heisman candidates. Trent Richardson was quiet and soft spoken. We laughed when he said the highlight of his day yesterday was that he went to Disney World with Erin Andrews and met Jasmine from Aladdin! All he could talk about was how pretty she was!!! It was an interesting show and gotta say the competition is tough all the way around with each candidate bringing a lot to the Heisman table. Of all the guys it was interesting to hear Trent say that this is not an individual award but that he would “win” it for his entire team (he was the only one who said this although Andrew Luck refused to make a case for why he should win) because with out them he wouldn’t be where he is. Team player…seems Saba breeds those guys. Also seems that Trent and the “honey Badger” had a little gaming going on while waiting to play…as interview time Bama was beating LSU 21-14…Roll Tide!

Sadly, I don’t think Trent is going to get selected. By including LSU’s Honey Badger into the mix, Trent loses too many votes. It’s annoying that the LSU guy was included, he will have the lowest vote total by far, and his votes are being split off from Trent’s.

:(

Tyrann Mathieu being invited to New York for the presentation just means he finished in the top 5. The voters put their top 3 (out of all players in any division) on a ballot, the points are counted, and the top 3-5 each year are invited to New York. There’s no voting after that. Honey Badger being designated a “finalist” doesn’t hurt Trent.
