I appreciate your decision! :) Thanks to all of you "adcoms" out there! ;D

Yes, I’d take you.

I’d also wonder why you weren’t applying to MIT or Cal Tech instead.

At first I thought you were a ■■■■■… and then I stalked you on Google. And apparently you exist. I don’t see why you wouldn’t get in. What do you plan on majoring in?

Awesome! No, I am a real person, I promise, buffalowizard
Well, when I visited Dartmouth, I fell in love with the school. I think I would fit in nicely in the close-knit atmosphere, and I feel I would be able to contribute to the overall cohesiveness of the Dartmouth family. Yes, I know that my profile is more conducive for a school like MIT or Caltech, but I feel that the opportunities that Dartmouth would provide me for my undergraduate education would be equally as amazing. I’m not the guy who dreams of only going to Harvard, Stanford, or MIT…I want a great education coupled with an amazing college experience  Dartmouth, I feel, is the perfect school for me
My career interests and major choice will probably be in the field of biochemistry or some sort of engineering. I just want to make a difference in the world, and whatever pathway will give me the best opportunity to do that will be the one I choose.

I would also accept you. I think you will have a big ad

I would also accept you. I think You have a big advantage being low income and from GA.

I would definitely accept you. That’s an incredible transcript. I’m also sure they’ll be thrilled to get an application from the type who would usually be applying to Caltech/MIT

I can confidently say you have a 90%+ chance of acceptance. Congratulations on your accomplishments and good for you for wanting an excellent education that specifically fits you, regardless of rankings.

Hi Pranam! Guess who? It’s Rich Gannon. WOW! You have a pretty badass resume. I am 99% sure you’ll get in.

■■■■. Your in. sigh i feel insignificant in comparison

Wow, I don’t want to be too confident, but you guys are making me feel a bit less stressed about this decision! Thank you for your input! :)

I think you will fit even better at MIT, but you should choose what feels right
Don’t take this the wrong way, but I laughed a little when seeing your stats, because a smart person like you probably should know that you have better chances than 99% of all applicants when applying to Dartmouth. I know people with significantly worse stats who have gotten into Harvard and Princeton (without any particular hooks).
Congratulations!

(Assuming your essays are somewhat good as you say) Congratulations on your future attendance at Dartmouth!

Can you afford applying ED? What if you don’t get as much financial aid as you need?

Yes, I have gotten the MIT, Harvard, Princeton, Stanford talk many times over by my classmates and peers: “You’re selling yourself short. MIT would take you…etc.” but they don’t realize that I REALLY want to go to Dartmouth. The academic reputation there is AMAZING, and I think I would fit in nicely if I don’t say so myself.

And to the financial aid inquiry…there is an option that I can pull myself out of the ED bind if they don’t give me enough financial aid. But my parents have told me that no matter how much financial aid Dartmouth gives me, they will give as much money as they possibly can to finance my education. Great parents, huh? :)

You have an amazing chance, etc, but I don’t think you should set your heart on Dartmouth, because of its “amazing academic reputation.” HYP have much greater reputations so if that is what you are looking for you should probably more strongly consider those schools.

Sounds great! Have fun at Dartmouth :)

Going to Dartmouth is not selling yourself short.

You will get an outstanding education, be 100% surrounded by amazing classmates, get an ultra-prestigious diploma, be highly attractive to top employers and grad schools, and have a big network of spirited alumni in high places.

Never heard anyone regret going to Dartmouth.

Thanks guys! I sure hope I get in! I agree with Chardo 100%…Dartmouth is absolutely amazing! I will be sure to let all of you guys know if I get in or not  There’s a reason why I am applying to Dartmouth ED…it’s because I absolutely love every aspect of the school! :)

Do you guys think there is a good possibility of me being deferred ED? Because, for some reason, I think that’s what is going to happen…
